Chuck Wagon Ministries
Rolling, rolling, rolling… For Jesus
Chuck Wagon Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry that uses food as an opportunity to speak and demonstrate the gospel to the financially and spiritually poor in our region. This is a “loaves and fishes” ministry.
Feed My Sheep
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.” It’s been said that people don’t care what you know until they know that you care. Helping to meet some of the basic needs allows the opportunity to speak the truth of the gospel into people’s lives.
The vision for Chuck Wagon Ministries (CWM) is to provide meals and food bank services to the under-served communities in remote areas of our region where similar services are not offered.
Food ministry is effective because the people that need these services are often experiencing some type of crisis in their lives. They’ve received a lot of bad news, but we show up with some “good news.” Chuck Wagon Ministries offers encouragement and prayer to any that want to receive it.
How We Do It
Our primary costs are food costs to be raised from donations. Second, is the cost of fuel for food pickup and delivery. CVM is funding this operation from donations by like-minded people, and rely completely on volunteers to keep costs low. We will be good stewards with all donations - food and money.
We are partnering with Manfisher Ministries in Omak preparing meals and offering foodbank services in an outreach to Native Americans. And in Aeneas Valley we are partnering with the Aeneas Valley Community Church to reach the thousands of “off-gridders” living in poverty camping in the surrounding hills. As more food and donations become available we hope to reach other areas that are underserved
